ABOUT
The Indigenous Nursing Research for Health Equity (INRHE) Summit brings together healthcare professionals, scholars, thought leaders and clinicians to share research findings and approaches that address the health and well-being of Indigenous populations.
The INRHE Summit provides opportunities to learn more about these populations, such as the Aboriginal, First Nations, Native Americans, and Māori, and to network with nurse researchers who are actively working to improve the health and lives of Indigenous people. This year’s theme, Getting the Story Right: Indigenous Peoples’ Practice, centres on honouring the oral traditions and connectedness of Indigenous knowledge transfer and storytelling as the way much about health practices is shared. Attendees will engage in dynamic discussions and workshops focusing on advanced clinical practices, patient-centred care, innovation, resilience, and collaborative practices in nursing. The Summit seeks to inspire and equip nurses with the tools and knowledge necessary to lead the transformation of healthcare systems and improve patient outcomes.
Auckland University of Technology will host this year’s Indigenous Nursing Research for Health Summit, and the event will take place in AUT’s City Campus in the City of Sails, Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.
Nau mai, haere mai ki Aotearoa.
